Balmoral Physiotherapy

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture has been used in China for over 2,000 years and increasingly within Western medicine since the 1970s. It involves the insertion of small needles into the skin and is one of a variety of options used within physiotherapy to treat a wide range of both musculoskeletal and non-musculoskeletal conditions.

Physiotherapists, through their medical training and post graduate practical work, have an excellent understanding of the body’s functioning. Members of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP). Physiotherapists are the largest group of medical professionals in the UK practicing acupuncture.

I am a regular gym goer and golfer and was struggling with a recurring knee problem so I contacted Balmoral Physio and was given an appointment with Mark Henderson. He identified the problem quickly as most likely a small tear in the cartilage. Without a scan it would be impossible to be 100% certain so I was treated on that basis. After two sessions of manual therapy and some home exercises the pain has disappeared and I am so far able to resume my sporting activities without further symptoms. I was very happy with the knowledge and treatment I received and would not hesitate to recommend this practice.

I have had chronic back pain for many years. And have seen a variety of health professionals. I found Ross to be one of the best I have ever seen. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and ultimately very helpful.

My neck gives me trouble most of the time, with only periodic moments of relief. Not only has he loosened my neck up but it's stayed loose! Thank you!

Refreshing to be told that all I needed was to take away some exercises to aid flexibly. No hard sell to say I needed multiple visits. Well worth a visit.

I am very pleased with my experiences with the Physio service and I would recommend them to anyone. Your referral is processed very efficiently and you are seen quickly. I also like that you are given choices (unlike a lot of medical services!). The service is designed to work in cooperation with the client and I feel it will have better outcomes because of this.
